THE POWER PRAYER GATHERING 02/01/08

2008 is.....The Year of The Open Gate and A New Beginning.....Let’s set ourselves in agreement for a victorious year in all areas of our lives beginning with the power of prayer.

The Year 2008........I believe is also deemed the year of a "Double Portion"...( 4 + 4 = 8 ). Hence the spiritual significance of the number 8 being:The Year of the Open Gate and The Year of A New Beginning! In Hebrew the number eight is symbolic of new beginnings, a fresh start, regeneration and rebirth, to make fat, super abundant fertility, to super-abound in endeavors, in financial abundance and in strength. Just as the spiritual significance of seven (7) was so called because it is the number of completion-- then the number eight (8) which is one number over and above the perfect number seven (7); determines The Year of A New Beginning with endless possibilities with help from Almighty God.

What is it that really moves the Hand of God?

• How do you pray for financial increase in a way that gets God's attention...and brings results!
• How do you pray for your marriage restoration and happiness in your life?
• Did you know that there are really prayers for healing for yourself and your loved ones?
• Are there things within your destiny which seem impossible?
• Is there any desire that you have that needs to be accessed with a diligent pursuit in prayer?

I have good news!!! There is a Power that shakes the very Heavens that I like to refer to as Kingdom Dynamics. It is called PRAYER!! This is one of the greatest-unclaimed resources that we as Christians have in our arsenal. This power of prayer should NEVER be underestimated!

1 John 5:14-15 tells us, "This (the prayer of faith) is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him.....(He answers!!!) WHEW and Amen! The power of prayer draws upon the glory and the might of The Infinite Powerful God. No matter what--God answers prayers that are in agreement with His will.

No matter what is His answer; it is always in our best interest and for our benefit. Powerful prayers and powerful requests that are presented unto God along with powerful petitions should be void of anxiety and are always presented to Him full of thanksgiving! (Philippians 4:6-7) This is what makes them effective and powerful.

The Word of God is full of accounts describing the power of prayer in various situations. The power of prayer has overcome enemies (Psalm 6:9-10), conquered death (2 Kings 4:3-36), brought healing (James 5:14-15), and defeated demons (Mark 9:29). God, through prayer, opens eyes, changes hearts, heals wounds, and grants wisdom (James 1:5).

How many of us make New Year's resolutions that last only a couple of days or a few weeks at most? When you make a resolution relying on self-determination to pull you through, however well intentioned, it almost always fails. Jesus said, The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41) Is it any wonder, then, that success based on our willpower eludes us?Most resolutions are remarkably similar. We vow to lose weight, get in shape, begin a savings plan, read the Bible through in a year, or have an established time with the Lord every day. All of these are worthwhile goals that would bring honor to the Lord. Why, then, are we unable to make lasting changes in the areas in which we desire to see victory?I think it's because rather than making a resolution, we need God to give us a revelation of our need to change. When God reveals His will to us through His Word, and we ask Him to empower us with His strength and might, we can succeed. Romans 8:27 NKJV says, We are more than conquerors through Him [Jesus Christ] who loved us. Suddenly a New Year's resolution that didn't have a chance to succeed becomes a New Year's revelation that is successful through God's power within us. Then the lasting changes we desire are suddenly possible.

Through the power of Jesus Christ, I am able to make changes in my life where I desire to see victory.
